They utilize specialized tools and bomb disposal robots to assess and neutralize risks, often coordinating with other local, state, and federal agencies when needed. In addition to emergency response, the squad also conducts security sweeps for major public events and provides training to other law enforcement personnel on explosive awareness and safety protocols.
Pittsburgh EMS Coin
Pittsburgh Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a vital component of the city’s public safety network, providing pre-hospital emergency medical care, rescue services, and patient transport to residents and visitors. Staffed by highly trained paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and rescue personnel, Pittsburgh EMS responds to a wide range of emergencies—from medical crises and traumatic injuries to hazardous material incidents and mass casualty situations. Operating 24/7, the department uses a fleet of ambulances and specialized rescue units to deliver rapid, life-saving care across the city. Beyond emergency response, Pittsburgh EMS also plays an important role in public health initiatives, community outreach, and disaster preparedness.
GIVING BACK
Aurelius is a nonprofit organization based in Wexford, Pennsylvania, just north of Pittsburgh, dedicated to supporting veterans, active-duty military, and first responders dealing with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Founded by former Pittsburgh Steeler Jon Kolb, Aurelius offers a free, confidential 12-week Mind-Body-Soul program that integrates mental health counseling, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), functional performance training, nutritional coaching, and outdoor adventure therapy. Participants engage in activities such as hiking, biking, and kayaking, both locally and in destinations like the Grand Canyon and Mount Kilimanjaro, fostering resilience and community. The program has demonstrated significant outcomes, with over 90% of graduates reporting improvements in mental health symptoms and sleep quality. As an Empire Collectors' Club subscriber you receive an exclusive one-time run of unique Empire Original challenge coins. These are coins from legitimate agencies and these are versions of those coins that will only be offered in the Empire Collectors' Club. You will not be able to find these versions of these coins anywhere else.
We will never remake the coin you receive with the same unique design elements, metals and colors. The uniqueness of your exclusive subscriber coins adds to the value of each coin.
